Post Pandemic Update:
Over the last 19 months we have worked hard to retain our readership online, HEM Life printed version will not be back in stores etc for quite some time mainly due to manual handling, rising costs to print, distribution and the economic climate  – not our fault sorry!

We are doing what we love doing, and making progress towards building our business back up, the most positive thing that has came out of this pandemic for us is that when we do get back to print we will continue to use our online platforms, giving our advertisers an additional advantage.

With continued support and good value for money, presenting information clearly and accurately we deliver, and look after our advertisers and readers – Because that’s what matters!

Online distribution – First Friday of the month:

Our History
Hello and welcome to Harborne, Edgbaston & Moseley Life – a hyperlocal newspaper produced at the heart of your community, where you can meet your kind of people.

Since our launch in 2014 we have cast our net into our ‘Neighbouring Areas’ and continue to be well accepted and supported by readers and advertisers alike. Publishing HEM Life has helped us discover that there are some amazing people with inspiring stories to tell – and they live not far from you.

We’ve set the bar high and had some great support along the way, including fellow journos Paul Raymer, Poppy Brady, John Duckers, Ross Reyburn and Richard Edmonds. Quality print by Iliffe, Cambridge, design by WD Design is exceptional and, the service by Self Select Licenced Distribution in Redditch is very professional.

HEM Life puts a premium price on that quaint and old-fashioned notion of a one-to-one conversation. We talk about family life, schools, the fortunes of high street traders and small businesses, the unsung heroes of volunteering and charity work, and highlight local sporting achievements – leaving the doom and gloom to the national media.

We firmly believe that a high quality hyper local newspaper has an important part to play in bringing a community together. Our aim is to continue providing a friendly platform for people from all walks of life to talk to each other.
